Explore Moscow
We have prepared a curated guide for MQMC guests with recommendations on architecture, museums, restaurants, neighborhoods, and cultural highlights.
Visa requirements
Visa requirements for entry to the Russian Federation depend on your citizenship. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they hold appropriate visa for travel. Please review the general guidance below:
Citizens of some countries, including China and Israel, may enter Russia visa-free for short stays.
Citizens of certain countries, including India, Singapore and most EU countries may apply for a simplified electronic visa, which is issued through a fully online process, and typically within 4 days. The official list of eligible countries and the application can be found at: https://evisa.kdmid.ru.
If you are not eligible for an e-visa or visa-free entry, you will need to obtain a regular visa through a Russian consulate or visa center. The conference organizers can provide an official invitation letter confirming your participation in the Moscow Quant Marketing Conference upon request after registration.
Electronic Visa (e-Visa)
The Russian electronic visa (e-Visa) is a simplified online visa that allows single-entry travel to Russia for tourism, business, or scientific events such as conference participation.
Who can apply:
Citizens of 64 countries are currently eligible to apply for an e-Visa. The full list of eligible countries is here.
Processing:
You can submit your e-Visa application only online - no embassy visit, invitation letter, or hotel booking is required.
Applications are typically processed within up to 4 calendar days.
You can apply no earlier than 86 days and no later than 4 days before your intended entry into Russia
(for a June 17, 2026 arrival, the earliest application date would be March 22, 2026, and the latest day to apply is June 13, 2026).
Validity & stay:
Once issued, an e-Visa is valid for 120 days from the date of issuance, and allows a stay in Russia for up to 30 days after entry.
The e-Visa provides single entry only.
Application and full requirements are available here: https://evisa.kdmid.ru
Payments in Russia
Please note that most foreign-issued Visa and Mastercard cards do not currently function in Russia.
For convenience, international visitors may wish to obtain a local payment card upon arrival. One practical option is a YooMoney travel card, which can be issued at Sheremetyevo Airport and used for local payments and online purchases.
